The annual The Vines Bluegrass Festival on August 26th from noon – 8:00 pm offers the best of bluegrass music in all of Minnesota!
00 – 2:30 Feeding Leroy (Duluth). Feeding Leroy came out of Sonja and Lee’s original songs, blending into a unique project, with their song writing and vocal harmonies as the focus of this band’s sound.
45 – 4:15 No Man’s String Band. No Man’s String Band returns by popular demand. This band was awarded Champions of the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association’s Race For A Place band contest. Listen to tunes from the newly released album “All is Fair in Love and Bluegrass”.
30 – 6:00 Hobo Nephews (with guest fiddler Ryan Young with Trampled by Turtles). Brothers Teague and Ian Alexy wrote their first songs together as young kids in the south Jersey bay town Somers Point. The Hobo Nephew’s sound has been a part of the Upper Midwest’s American roots music resurgence for the past decade.
00 – 8:00 Pistol Whippin Party Penguins. The Penguins return to The Vines Festival, this year to be the headliner band. As they prepare to record their 3rd album, this quintet from Minneapolis strives to maintain the original spirit of the “string band” while continuing to play new original music and creative cover songs.
