For most people, Minnesota wouldn’t be the first state that comes to mind when someone mentions wineries. But that would be a mistake. One example is North Folk Winery, a small place in tiny Harris, Minnesota. It may be a bit remote, but you can’t beat the taste.
The first thing you’ll notice when you pull up to North Folk Winery? The absolute beauty of this little establishment. First opened in 2012, it has become a popular spot in only a few years.
The grounds include the gorgeous garden, where grapes and other fruits are grown for the wines. They also include a flower garden. Overflowing with color, it looks like something from a fairy tale.
When you’re done gawking at the natural beauty outside, step onto the porch. It’s a fantastic spot for an evening of good food and great wine. Inside, a cheery and bright tasting room awaits. This is where you’ll get to sample some of the great wines made here.
Over a dozen wines are made at North Folk, including fruit wines made with apples, berries, and more. Some options rotate with the seasons. North Folk is noted for its Friday pizza nights. Every Friday from May through October, they fire up the oven to bake incredible pizzas made with local flour and veggies. Pizza and wine – what could be better?
In November and December, Friday becomes soup night. The soups are made by a local food co-op. Live entertainment completes the dinner experience. If you love wine, get up to North Folk right away.
